Aspen Medical is seeking Intensive Care Paramedic (ICP) to provide 24/7 emergency medical support with three-week rotating shift basis supporting a global energy and petrochemical company on a floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) facility (Prelude) off the Western Australia coastline. The responsibilities of this role include:
- providing timely occupational health-related services and emergency response
- the provision of site clinic management activities and management of supplies, consumables and equipment
- provide assistance in the review of fitness to work medicals and monitoring participants under return-to-work programs.
Experience, qualifications and documentation required
- qualified to work as a Paramedic in public ambulance service in Australian or New Zealand jurisdictions (includes those that hold a primary paramedic qualification; Bachelor Degree in Paramedic of Health Science, or equivalent),
- completed post-graduate studies/internships, leading to a qualification as an ICP
- current unrestricted registration as a Paramedic with AHPRA
- current certification in; Early Management of Severe Trauma (EMST), Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) training and certification, or International Trauma Life Support (ITLS), and Advanced Life Support (ALS) or Basic Life Support (BLS)
- has five years’ work experience in emergency medicine and three years’ work experience at a remote location.

Intensive Care Paramedic - Aero Medical

Aspen Medical is seeking Intensive Care Paramedics - Aero Medical to provide 24/7 medical support to customers in the oil and gas sector through our Western Australia Resources Aero-Medical Evacuation (WARAME) service.
The responsibilities of this role include:
- providing quality care of all patients evacuated by the Aero-Medical Evacuation (AME) team
- completing orientation for the replacement Flight Paramedic
- complying with all Aspen Medical WARAME documented procedures
- participating in other duties as required by the Project Manager.
Experience, qualifications and documentation requirements:
- qualifications as an Intensive Care Paramedic or Critical Care Paramedic
- evidence of aero-medical training (postgraduate qualification, ambulance service awarded program and/or a letter from your organisation)
- minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Flight Intensive Care / Critical Care Paramedic within an Australasian ambulance service
- current Certificate to Practice or Authority to Practice from Clinical Manager
- evidence of 20 hours of CPD Paramedic education (an Intensive or Critical Care Paramedics CTP/ATP)
- evidence identifying your current clinical scope of practice as an Intensive or Critical Care Paramedic
- completion of 250 hours of on-road clinical time within the past 12 months.
